I started my first nonprofit 16 years ago because I wanted to make an impact in the world. But what I didn’t realize was how much the old way of doing things would cost me — financially, emotionally, and mentally.

At the height of my career, I had raised millions, led award-winning organizations, and earned a reputation for my results. Everything looked amazing on the outside.

But behind the scenes?

I was exhausted. Burned out. Trying to do everything the “right” way — and constantly hitting the same walls. 

I was sending the monthly newsletters, writing the donor appeals, updating the website, posting on social media. All of it was supposed to work. But it didn’t.

And deep down, I knew why.

I was using strategies built for another decade — talking at people, not with them. 

So when I finally left the nonprofit world and built a business from scratch, I made myself a promise... I would learn the modern strategies that actually create connection, trust, and consistent revenue — and never go back to the old way again.

Within two years, I tripled my nonprofit salary and built a multiple six-figure business by doing one thing differently — communicating like it mattered.
